Sunday is the day!! The time has come and we are so excited!!
We would like to invite you to our new evening worship service, Open Table Dinner Church on Sunday evenings starting August 20 from 5:00 PM- 7:00 PM!
The reimagine team and staff have been working hard to create an evening worship community that will be welcoming to all!
Where do we meet?
We meet in the Family Life Center of First United Methodist Church of Belton (The big building on the corner of Penelope and 2nd St).
What to expect.
Just come in and sit wherever you feel comfortable. There will be lots of round tables set up for people to sit around to fellowship, eat and worship. This is a casual space, so no need to dress up. Come just as you are. We have time for board games and hanging out, dinner around the table (what’s dinner church without dinner?!) praise and worship music from our band, prayer time, scripture, and a message followed by a time of discussion. There will also be age-appropriate activities for kids and youth during this time. Our first series is called Come To The Table where we will explore some of the meals Jesus had and the types of people Jesus ate with.
What is a Prayerground?
In the center of the worship space is our Prayerground. This is an intentional space created for our younger worshippers to be able to move and wiggle and be a part of the worship experience. The Prayerground includes a rug with kid kid-sized table and chairs, a bean bag, blocks, coloring stuff, and books. Feel free to let the kids sit, stand, move around, and enjoy the space during ALL parts of worship.
How do we serve?
Each month we will have a different opportunity to serve the local or larger community. For the two weeks of August and all of September, we are collecting toilet paper and travel-size shampoo/conditioner/soap, etc. for Helping Hands Ministry of Belton.
Most importantly we are creating a unique worship experience where people can feel like they are a valued part of a community. A place where they are loved and valued for who they are and then want to share that love they feel with those around them. Come be a part of this community. If you have any questions, please feel free to email me! Can’t wait to see you there!
Grace and Peace,
Pastor Katie
